SUMMARY:The Witch Hunt on Suffolk’s Coast
DESCRIPTION:Our presenter is Dr Danny Buck. Danny completed his PhD at the University of East Aanglia in 2022. Looking at the long term political and religious divisions that lay behind the Witch-hunt in Great Yarmouth in 1645.\nHe has worked in depth on witchcraft accusations, religious divisions, urban politics, and herring piracy! Danny recently appeared on the Witches of Scotland and the Thou Shalt Not Suffer Podcasts with an episode of the History Rage podcast out later this year.\n\nMeetings will take place in St John’s Church which has a wonderful sound system and two large TV screens. Parking is available in the car park to the side of the church.\nThere will be a regular monthly meeting at 2:00pm on the fourth Thursday of each month.\n
